From http://www.cayetanomusic.com In 1996, 19 year old George Bratanis released his 1st album with his group Stroggilo Kitrino (The Round Yellow) to much praise, especially for a very characteristic use of the Hammond sound and his own dynamic on-stage appearances.
After Stroggilo Kitrino found success playing venues in Greece and Italy, Bratanis left his group and in 1999, he moved to Spain, where he composed music for theatrical plays and films. While touring Spain, Bratanis played as a session musician for respectable Spanish bands, and though this gave him a good deal of respect, he nevertheless left Spain in 2004 so he may explore his ambitious dreams of becoming a successful solo artist under the helm of Cayetano.
Cayetano made his first releases while still living in Barcelona, the vinyl EPs “Mr. White” and the eponymous “Cayetano”, on the German label "Kinky Lounge". His international recognition came in 2006 when he released the album "Focused", which managed to get extensive airplay on many radio stations and received near universal praise from critics. His following collaboration with Loopa Scava resulted in his sophomore album "Up & Down", released by Etage Noir Records.
Cayetano has since recieved a nomination for the French Annually Prizes "Prix Radiophonie", the 1st Award for film scoring for the Swedish film "Herr Holger" , the honor of having Berlin's Mathematical Expo choose his song "Mathematical Sorrow" as their official theme, numerous remixes from the likes of Parov Stelar, Wax Tailor, and Mod X, as well as licensing his music to a diverse selection of media and not to mention his live appearances were lauded by the likes of WIRE magazine.
His third album, titled "The Big Fall", was released by Etage Noir Records to recognition on international iTunes and SoulSeduction.com charts. “The Big Fall” was Cayetano’s step into a darker, more mature territory, one which Cayetano proudly feels is his most authentic approach to playing his music.
In October 2010, Cayetano signed with Klik Records and subsequently released the album "Back Home" two months later. Four months after the successful release of “Back Home”, he formed the CAYETANO LIVE BAND, a collective of exceptionally talented musicians, whose concerts are more than often sold out.
On September 17th 2012, Cayetano returns with his crowning achievement, the album he is proudest of, ‘’Once Sometime”, on Klik Records’ new sub-label Pale Sound Records.
As James Andrew said: "Cayetano seems to walk in a road made for him, by him. A unique, colorful road. And he walks really nice".

From http://www.jahtari.org Deadly disc charged with raw sound system vibes by the man called Mr. Williamz on a bunch of heavyweight Maffi riddims, coming straight from the Copenhagen underground. With scorchers like "Sit Down Steady", the must-have "Where The Man Come From" and the anthem "Dancehall Hobby" it becomes clear very quickly that this man's favourite hobby ain't stamp collecting...
To give it a nice sound-system-tape feel the tunes have been faithfully run to cassette and back, Tapes dubbed up the Kriminel Riddim live, the bassline in the Hobby Riddim is by Pupajim and disrupt rolled it all up into a big one in the end.
Like the "Tann Up Solid EP" this one also comes with a masterpiece of a cover from Ellen G. / MyLord - a genius tribute to the veterans of sound system culture! Boomshot record - not to be missed!

From https://en.wikipedia.org Guru's Jazzmatazz, Vol. 1 is a jazz rap album by alternative hip hop artist Guru, released on May 18, 1993 (see 1993 in music) on Chrysalis Records. This album is one of the first albums to combine a live jazz band with hip hop production and rapping. It is the first such project to feature established rappers. Live backing is provided by a band that includes Lonnie Liston Smith, Branford Marsalis, Ronny Jordan, Donald Byrd and Roy Ayers. The album also features collaborations with N'Dea Davenport (of the Brand New Heavies) and French rapper MC Solaar.
Guru, quoted in the album's liner notes, talked about his natural affinity for both jazz and rap. "Jazz's mellow tracks, along with the hard rap beat, go hand-in-glove with my voice," he said.
Jazzmatazz, Vol. 1 peaked at #24 and #91 on Billboard's Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums and the Billboard 200 albums charts. The single "Trust Me" peaked at #50 on the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Singles & Tracks chart. In spite of the lagging American sales, Jazzmatazz, Vol. 1 was a commercial success in Europe, where jazz was much more popular in the 1990s.

From http://www.hiddenorchestra.com Archipelago, out 1st October 2012, is our second album for Tru Thoughts. The album sees Joe Acheson, the musical mastermind behind Hidden Orchestra, continuing to explore and develop many themes that emerged on our debut, Night Walks, adding new ideas, guest players, instruments and found sounds; to name a few, listen up for tap-dancing, bagpipe drones, and Acheson stomping in snow and ice.
New instruments contributing to the many layers of Archipelago include the musical saw of multi-skilled cellist Su-a Lee (as heard to spine-tingling, sci-fi effect on “Vorka”); clarsach and electro-harp from Scottish folk musician Mary MacMaster; clarinet care of Czech musician/composer Floex; and Phil Cardwell’s uniquely versatile trumpet tones. In addition, you’ll hear a range of kantele and zithers which Joe (also a Sony-nominated radio producer and presenter) found and recorded at a school for the blind in Finland, while on location for a radio documentary.
In sampling found sounds and inspired improvisation, alongside his skills as a composer, Joe instills an anchor to our earthly environment, while often conjuring an ethereal atmosphere and fragility that can whisk the listener off to another world; there are moments of feeling suspended somewhere in between. Just as the first album evoked, in Joe’s words, “the brooding reflections of a solitary walk through the still, restless night”, ‘Archipelago’ takes us on “a voyage around a group of islands – built from the same materials but each with its own character, its particular arrangement of rocks, shoreline, flora and fauna – amid seas and skies which are forever changing”. Joe captured bird and wave sounds on a boat and ashore on the tiny remote Scottish island North Rona, when he and Poppy accompanied her father, the artist Norman Ackroyd, on a trip to gather sketches for his etchings – including the one of nearby island Roaireim, which we’ve used on the album cover.
“It just sounds absolutely fantastic” – CERYS MATTHEWS (BBC 6MUSIC) “An uncanny sound…a faded-film world of spectre-filled forests – we’re happy to premiere it.” – THE LINE OF BEST FIT “Contemporary, atmospheric and accessible…being deservedly championed” – 5 STARS – BBC MUSIC MAGAZINE
Archipelago is released on Tru Thoughts Records on 1st October 2012, and in the US on 9th October. Denovali Records will once again release a gatefold deluxe version of the album on vinyl.

From http://liveweb.arte.tv Lorsque The Roots sort Phrenology en 2002, l'album est notamment remarqué pour son single étonnement rock'n'roll, "The Seed (2.0)". Pourquoi 2.0 ?
